this is the first time LP did Sweet Child O’ Mine live. as you can see by the video, it wasn’t a planned performance, Brad just started playing the riff, which got Chester to sing a few lines, and then Rob and Phoenix joined in for a short impromptu performance of one verse.

since then, doing Sweet Child O’ Mine live has become a bit of a running joke with the band. they performed short bits randomly during the rest of 2001, once in 2004, and then again in 2008.
